Representative Virginia Foxx presents books to Library Director Steve Messick

Representative Virginia Foxx visited the Iredell County Public Library June 30th to present 150 books from the Library of Congress. The new books include a variety of fiction, nonfiction, children’s books and audio books. The books are available under the Library of Congress Surplus Book Program aimed at building library collections across the nation.

In presenting the books, Representative Foxx stressed the importance of reading and libraries in her life.

The books will be added to the Iredell County Public Library’s collection and made available through Harmony Branch Library and the J. Hoyt Hayes Memorial Troutman Branch Library as well as the Main Library in Statesville.
