Each school year the North Carolina School Library Media Association puts together a reading competition for students in grades 4-12.
Through the program, schools form individual teams of students who read books on the required reading list then work together to answer questions in a Quiz-bowl style competition.
Students can compete in the elementary, middle, or high school level competition throughout their time in grade school. Teams are usually led by the school's Media Specialist and meet at regular intervals for practices and team-building exercises.
