What Is Summer Reading?

Summer Reading is a two month long series of programming and reading that our library hosts each year in an effort to keep our community engaged and learning throughout summer months. Our Summer Reading program will include free performances and events, Take & Make activity bags for all ages, age appropriate activity booklets, and reading logs to record your progress during June & July.

About This Year's Theme

This year our theme is "All Together Now," which celebrates kindness, friendship, and unity within our community. We will be holding a large number of programs for County residents that fit with this theme, many of which feature presenters from local businesses and nonprofit groups. All of our programs are free of charge to attend, though some require registration.

How to Register & Win Prizes

Summer Reading registration begins June 1st. All you need to do to register is pick up a reading log from any ICPL branch, download one from this page, or start logging your reading on the Beanstack app.

Patrons who participate in Summer Reading can earn raffle tickets by attending library programs and submitting their completed reading log between August 1st - 19th. The grand prize drawing will take place on August 21st, and winners will be notified by the contact information on their raffle ticket.
