Join us at the Troutman Library May 20th - 25th for Geek Week. We will have crafts, discussions, and games to celebrate a wide assortment of interests. For more information on any of our programs, call the Troutman branch at 704-528-2682.

Maker Monday: Dragon Egg Clay Sculptures

Monday, May 20th, at 4:00 pm
Create and decorate your own dragon eggs made from sculpting clay. Registration is required for this program so be sure to reserve your spot!

Recall Challenge

Tuesday, May 21st, at 4:00 pm
Put your Sherlock Holmes thinking cap on and use his deductive reasoning skills to test your memory and compete against others in this fun and interactive game.

Life-Size CLUE

Tuesday, May 21st, at 5:30pm
There's been a murder in the library! Turn your family into crime-solving detectives and figure out the who, where, and why of the crime.

Adult Pinterest Craft Club: Fairy Lanterns (Adults Only)

Wednesday, May 22nd, at 5:30 pm
Celebrate the fairies of Shakespeare's imagination and create fairy silhouettes inside mason jars. Registration is required for this program and is available starting May 1st

Harry Potter DIY Potions

Thursday, May 23rd, at 4:00 pm
Design your own glass potion containers and make it look like it came straight from Snape's secret stock! Registration is required for this program.

Harry Potter Jeopardy

Thursday, May 23rd, at 5:30 pm
Do you know what a hippogriff is? Or what shape Hermione's patronus takes? Put your Potter knowledge to the test in this intense game of jeopardy trivia!

Preschool Storytime: Star Wars

Friday, May 24th, at 11:00am
Join Miss Miranda on a journey through the galaxy for a special Star Wars storytime with a good book and a fun craft!

Star Wars LEGO Challenge

Friday, May 24th, at 4:00pm
Create legendary Star Wars images using LEGOs. Make your own Millennium Falcon or Death Star to display in the library.

Tolkien Trivia Scavenger Hunt

How much do you know about Middleearth and its literary creator? Find the clues around the library and answer your questions before another team to lay claim to the title of Tolkien Genius!

Writing Workshop: Fantasy and Fanfiction

Come and meet fellow fantasy nerds who share a passion for the genre and for writing. Exchange ideas, tips, and stories all day long.
