We try to make the library a welcoming place, but it is important to remember that all library buildings are public buildings, with people coming and going all day. Library staff is not responsible for children who may be at the library by themselves. Children age 8 or under must be in the immediate presence of a parent, sibling or caregiver or other responsible person age 16 or older at all times while on library property. Children between the ages of 9 and 11 must have a parent, sibling or caregiver or other responsible person age 16 or older in the library building at all times.
