    Maurice Johnson, a member of the 102nd U.S. Colored Troops Reenactment Group will present and discuss the importance of African American troops from the Revolutionary War to Civil War and after. Find out how African American soldiers entered the armed forces, how they lived, what conditions they faced, and how vital their role was in both wars. Mr. Johnson will be in full reenactment uniform, and will be speaking from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The display will be open for viewing and Mr. Johnson will be available for questions from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Contact Michele at mcoleman@iredell.lib.nc.us for more information.
